Helped get a car for someone in need who had been without transportation for years! She was so happy and proud that she would be able to take her kids to school and not wait for public transportation!
I took time out to Deep Clean the house for roommates and myself. We all get very busy with work and I love the house being clean! Today when I cleaned I helped do dishes and many chores that were not mine to help out. Teamwork wins! They were happy!
My sister and her friends set up Sock It To Em Sock Campaign's first Socks and Sandwiches event outside of Colorado, this time in Mesa, Arizona. It was a huge success! The group of 25 volunteers made 450 sandwiches and donated over 1,000 socks! So grateful for their hard work and it paid off so that several agencies could benefit!
We raised 108 canned good items and 42 pair of socks today at a local restaurant as we continue to help a neighborhood school who has 98% of their kids receiving free breakfasts and lunches! This is the first of two fundraisers there so we look forward to collecting much more to help this wonderful school whom we and the restaurant has adopted!
We are grateful for the help of others in support of what we do at Seam The World. Our volunteers make what we do for every event a genuine reality.
100 Black Men of Long Beach took Young Men in our Mentoring to Intro to Robotics at USC. Robot display, STEM kits, Robot battle and much more.
Spent the day giving mother nature a celebration boost. Picked up some trash, planted some new flowers, and prepared some recycled bends. Very good Earth day
My Boyfriend is a chef so he loves going and experiencing Food Trucks. I surprised him and took him to a food festival in downtown la. The food was amazing and he loved it. Is nice to take a break from work to enjoy a Sunday.
Our friend and her son delivered a sock drawer to her son's school today. We are grateful to all of our ambassadors not only in the Denver area but across the country who are getting involved and who are making a difference in the lives of the kids who have no socks on their feet when they come to school!
